It’s UFC on FUEL 4! Mark Munoz returns from his injury and takes on rising star, Chris Weidman!
MAIN EVENT
Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Munoz (186) vs. Chris Weidman (186)
Huge fight for Weidman. Munoz has to make a statement. Gonna be a great great fight!
James Te Huna (205) vs. Joey Beltran (205)
Congrats to Beltran for being the seemingly only smart Heavyweight to drop down, fantastic decision. He looks radically different but, for his frame, he did not belong at Heavyweight. Good for him for realizing it. Te Huna is a beast! Someone’s getting KO’d.
Aaron Simpson (171) vs. Kenny Robertson (170)
This is the biggest mismatch since Werdum/Russow or Mendes/McKenzie. Simpson looks unhealthy at this new weight. It will be interesting to see how he fills out tomorrow.
Karlos Vemola (186( vs. Francis Carmont (186)
Carmont looks great. Vemola seems even more adjusted to his new weight. Carmont is considerably bigger than Vemola, who used to be a Light Heavyweight. Crazy! Should be a great fight.
TJ Dillashaw (136) vs. Vaughan Lee (135)
This is a relatively big fight for the Bantamweight ranks.
Rafael Dos Anjos (156) vs. Anthony Njokuani (156)
Dos Anjos looks awesome and is surprisingly similar in size to Njokuani.
PRELIMINARY FIGHTS
Damacio “The Angel of Death” Page (136) vs. Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres (136)
Nothing noteworthy.
Chris “Kamikaze” Cariaso (125) vs. Josh “Taz” Ferguson (125)
Ferguson is very thin but definitely belongs at Flyweight. Cariaso is definitely better suited here, let hope it shows in the fight.
Rafael Natal (186) vs. Andrew Craig (185)
Nothing noteworthy.
Marcel Guimaraes (171) vs. Dan “The Anvil” Stittgen (170)
Guimaraes walks out in a sauna suit… but still makes weight just fine.
Raphael Assuncao (136) vs. Issei Tamura (135)
Both guys looks great.
