Middleweight Final! Plus a Super Fight in the Women’s Division!

-Middleweight Final-
Andreas Spang vs. Maiquel Falcao
Official: Unanimous Decision – 29-27, Maiquel Falcao
Big punches from both men early. Falcao gets rocked against the cage! He clinches to survive. Falcao slams him down! Works from behind. Spang has nothing from here. Falcao loses a point for an illegal knee to the head. Falcao immediately closes the distance. Spang threatens with a Guillotine but Falcao sweeps him down. Big brawl to tend the round with Spang connecting hard! Falcao charges forward connects hard and gets a takedown, works from top. Moves to the back again. Spang gets crushed here once again. Badly. On to Round Three, Falcao takes him down in no time and back to the same position. Total smother.  

-Welterweight Semifinals-
Karl Amoussou vs. David Rickels
Official: Split Decision – 28-29, 29-28, 29-28, Karl Amoussou
Aggressive start. Rickles literally kicks Amoussou’s cup off! This is crazy. Gotta get a new one before the fight can continue. Okay! Back to the action! Huge aggression! Amoussou sweeps him down quick and works from the top. Amoussou continually tries the Can Opener Neck Crank (ala Mark Coleman, Mark Kerr) but Rickles remains calm and the explosions continue on the feet. Huge throw by Amoussou. Rickles defends off his back. Tight Heel Hook from Amoussou! It slips and the round ends. Round picks up where they left off; aggressive strikes, takedown from Amoussou but no action on the ground. Back on the feet and we have a brawl! Rickles is connecting hard! Amoussou desperately gets a takedown but once again can’t find anything from the top. Armbar from Rickles! Loses it! More exchanges on the feet and Amoussou drops down for a Leg Lock, ends up on bottom. Rickles unloads from the top with everything he can including the Sakuraba Chop. Amoussou’s face is a mess. 

Megumi Fujii vs. Jessica Aguilar
Official: Unanimous Decision – 29-28, Jessica Aguilar
Good fast pace, testing the waters. Fujii gets a takedown but Aguilar works back up and out of the clinch. Fujii picks up the pace but Aguilar remains elusive. Aguilar catches a kick and puts Fujii down. Fujii snags an Arm! Aguilar fights hard and escapes! Back on the feet and a bit more combos.. Aguilar is landing with more power, countering Fujii. Fujii presses forward but can’t land the lean shot she’s looking for. Big shot by Aguilar. Fujii drives hard for a takedown. Big shots from Fujii! Great scrambles on the ground. More big shots from Fujii. Going to be a tough Decision. 

Mark Holata vs. Abe “Hurricane” Wagner
Official: Round 1 – Verbal Submission 2:24 Ankle Lock, Mark Holata
Holata doesn’t seem to want to waste anytime pursuing Wagner and getting him down. Wagner controls Holata’s arms. Holata drops for an Ankle lock but gives up a Heel Hook. Abe Wagner’s Heel Hook is completely wrong and verbally taps to the Ankle Lock. ::facepalm::
